Pelicargo, a digital air freight procurement and execution platform, has announced a new integration with Air Canada Cargo, significantly expanding its airline partnership network. This development enhances real-time pricing, capacity access, and origin-based booking workflows for freight forwarders across North America and international routes. The company aims to streamline freight operations by aligning its platform with forwarders’ typical origin-to-destination practices, supporting faster quoting and booking processes.

Sean Angata, co-founder of Pelicargo, emphasized that although the industry predominantly operates around airport pairs, forwarders actually think in terms of origin and destination. The partnership with Air Canada Cargo provides access to a broad network of airline capacity, enabling freight forwarders to secure rates and capacity through a single digital system. This integration is expected to improve efficiency and reduce reliance on manual coordination, especially as shipping timelines become more compressed.

The platform now offers greater coverage across North America, transatlantic, and other international routes, giving forwarders more options when quoting and booking.

Users can price shipments from any US origin ZIP code to global destinations, leveraging over 2,000 domestic trucking partners to facilitate first-mile logistics. Pelicargo's approach supports origin-to-airport and airport-to-destination workflows, aligning with how forwarders typically operate. The platform's growing airline partnerships reflect increasing adoption, with over 500 freight forwarders registered to use the service, marking its expanding footprint in the air cargo sector.
