Initial reports stated the passenger declined medical attention at the gate but was later transported to Mass General Hospital for evaluation.
Massachusetts State Police confirmed the passenger would receive a summons for a future court appearance. Authorities have not released any further information regarding the nature of the disturbance.
Massport officials and U.S. Customs and Border Protection have not issued additional statements regarding the event, referring inquiries back to the Massachusetts State Police.
Following the removal of the disruptive passenger, United Airlines Flight 945 resumed its journey to Chicago. The aircraft remained on the ground at Logan International Airport for approximately one hour. According to data from FlightAware, the flight subsequently departed and landed at O'Hare International Airport at 12:42 p.m. CDT on Monday.
