Vietnam’s Civil Aviation Authority has issued an urgent storm alert as Typhoon Kalmaegi approaches the central region, threatening to impact multiple airports. The affected airports include Da Nang, Phu Bai, Lien Khuong, Chu Lai, Phu Cat, Tuy Hoa, Pleiku, and Buon Ma Thuot. Authorities have directed aviation units to implement emergency measures, including inspecting runways, strengthening storm defenses, and pausing construction at key sites. Weather agencies are providing ongoing updates to airlines and controllers.

Vietnam Airlines has responded by canceling flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Phu Cat on November 6 and 7, while other routes are being rescheduled with departures adjusted to later times. Vasco airlines announced the suspension of flights connecting Ho Chi Minh City to Lien Khuong. Passengers are urged to monitor airline notifications and remain cautious during travel due to likely turbulence caused by the storm.
