Overview

Air Premia is a South Korean airline based in Seoul. According to Wikipedia, it was founded on 27 July 2017 by Kim Jong-chul, a former president of Jeju Air. It describes itself as a "hybrid airline", offering a higher level of service than low-cost carriers at lower operating costs than full-service airlines. It began flying on 11 August 2021 with a domestic Seoul–Jeju service, which ended on 30 October 2021 as the airline moved to international routes only. Air Premia does not belong to any of the three major alliances. Its frequent-flyer programme is called Premia Members.

Network and hubs

The hub is Incheon International Airport. Wikipedia lists scheduled services to Tokyo Narita, Bangkok, Hong Kong and Da Nang in Asia, and to Los Angeles, Newark, San Francisco, Honolulu and Washington Dulles in the United States. Washington Dulles began on 24 April 2026. Sapporo is listed to start on 2 December 2026, and Ho Chi Minh City is listed to resume on 5 November 2026. Some European and other destinations, such as Oslo, Barcelona and Dhaka, are listed as charters, and earlier Frankfurt and Singapore services have ended. Dates are as shown on Wikipedia at the time of research and may change.

Fleet

Air Premia operates only the Boeing 787-9. The Wikipedia infobox, retrieved in September 2026, gives a fleet of 8 aircraft. Its fleet table, dated June 2025, listed 9. The sources disagree, so check current figures before relying on either. Seat counts in that table range from 309 to 344 depending on configuration.

On board

There are two cabins: Premium Economy (marketed as Premia) and Economy. Wikipedia's fleet table shows 35 or 56 premium seats per aircraft, with the rest in Economy. Seat pitch, entertainment and Wi-Fi details were not confirmed from official sources during research. Third-party sites say meals and entertainment are provided on long-haul flights, but this was not verified on the airline's own pages.

Good to know

  • Cabin baggage: the conditions of carriage allow one bag of up to 10 kg in Economy and two bags of up to 10 kg each in Premium Economy. Third-party sites give a maximum size of 55 x 40 x 20 cm.
  • Checked baggage: third-party sources (Alternative Airlines) give 1 x 23 kg in Economy and 2 x 23 kg in Premium Economy. Allowances depend on route and fare, and Economy Lite fares may differ.
  • Extra bags: the airline's baggage page lists advance-purchase prices for extra items. Extra weight cannot be bought on Economy Lite or Premium Economy fares.
  • Lounges and upgrades: no lounge or upgrade information was confirmed from official sources.
