Singapore Airlines will unveil its new first and business class cabins this week, after the programme slipped from its original schedule. According to One Mile at a Time, the reveal is set for Friday 6 November 2026, with entry into service planned for the first quarter of 2027. Travel Daily Media gives 7 November and describes a preview for a select group of frequent flyers.
One Mile at a Time says the product was first meant to roll out from spring 2026 and was delayed by supply chain constraints. Travel Daily Media says the overhaul was originally scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2026. The two outlets differ on the reveal date (6 or 7 November), which may reflect time zones, though neither source explains this.
Singapore Airlines is investing 1.1 billion SGD (about 835 million USD, per One Mile at a Time) in 41 Airbus A350-900s, including its seven ultra-long-range aircraft. A350-900s used on regional routes, which carry the same cabins as the Boeing 787-10, will not be reconfigured.
One Mile at a Time reports the following seat changes:
The work also covers refreshed premium economy and economy, Starlink Wi-Fi and an updated entertainment system. Travel Daily Media refers to a new KrisWorld system, improved food and beverage options and updated amenity kits.
The same seats will later be fitted to Boeing 777-9s, which One Mile at a Time says are now delayed to late 2027 at the earliest. First class will be limited to the ultra-long-range A350s, with four seats, and will not be offered on standard A350-900s. There are no plans to retrofit existing 777s. Singapore Airlines currently has first class only on its A380s and 777-300ERs.
Official detail is thin. One Mile at a Time infers a 1-2-1 first class layout from a patent for the 777-9, with a central double suite that can be used by one or two people. This is not confirmed by the airline. Singapore Airlines says business class will offer more privacy, comfort and convenience, and Travel Daily Media notes teaser images showing privacy doors.
One Mile at a Time compares the first class with 1-1-1 products from Japan Airlines and Emirates, and suggests Cathay Pacific could go further with a 1-1 layout on its 777-9s. That is the outlet's opinion.
Once the product is shown, further detail on seats and rollout order should follow.
