Thai Airways International (THAI) has opened a Customer Care Centre at its Bangkok headquarters to help passengers affected by severe flooding between 26 and 30 September 2026, according to Travel Daily Media. The centre begins operating on 16 October and is intended for people seeking compensation for disrupted journeys.

What disrupted THAI's operations

Travel Daily Media reports that the floods disrupted the airline's operations, leading to flight delays, cancellations and baggage backlogs. The report does not say how many flights or passengers were affected, which airports were hit, or whether operations have fully returned to normal.

Location and opening hours

The centre is in Building 3, First Floor, at THAI Headquarters on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road, Bangkok. According to Travel Daily Media, it will initially open from 13:00 to 16:00 on 16 October. From 17 October it will be open daily from 8:30 to 16:00, including weekends.

What to bring

Passengers seeking compensation for flight disruption are advised to bring identification, such as a national ID card or passport. They should also bring:

  • their e-ticket number or boarding pass;
  • their baggage tag number;
  • any supporting documents for expenses incurred because of the delays or cancellations.

THAI also offers an online option for submitting compensation claims through its website, the report says. The airline has apologised for the inconvenience and said it is committed to addressing the needs of affected passengers and protecting their rights.

What this means for travellers

Anyone whose Thai Airways journey was delayed or cancelled, or whose baggage was held up, during 26 to 30 September can now pursue a claim in person or online. Those who plan to visit the Bangkok centre should gather receipts and other proof of extra costs beforehand, along with their ticket or boarding pass details and baggage tag number. Weekend opening from 17 October should help people who cannot attend on weekdays.

The source does not set out what compensation is available, how much may be paid, whether there is a claim deadline, or how long processing will take. Passengers should check the claim terms on THAI's website before submitting a request.
