Overview

Air Seoul is a South Korean low-cost carrier and a wholly owned subsidiary of Asiana Airlines, according to Wikipedia. It was established on 7 April 2015 and began flying on 11 July 2016. Its headquarters are in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, and its operating base is Incheon International Airport. Air Seoul does not belong to a global airline alliance.

Merger notice: as a result of the Korean Air and Asiana Airlines merger, Air Seoul has signed an integration agreement with Jin Air, Korean Air's low-cost subsidiary, alongside Air Busan. The combined carrier is due to launch as Jin Air on 17 March 2027, according to Economy Class & Beyond. Shareholder meetings and regulatory approvals are still to come, so check the operating airline when booking flights beyond that date.

Network and hubs

Incheon is the hub. Air Seoul started with Gimpo–Jeju flights in 2016 and moved to international routes from October 2016. It later became a purely international airline. Its network centres on Japan (including Fukuoka, Osaka Kansai, Tokyo Narita, Sapporo, Kumamoto, Nagasaki and Takamatsu) and Vietnam (Da Nang, Hanoi and Nha Trang). It also serves Kota Kinabalu, Bohol-Panglao, Saipan, Guam and several Chinese cities, including Yantai and Zhangjiajie. Wikipedia counted 21 destinations. Several routes have been suspended or ended over the years, so check the current timetable.

Fleet

As of August 2025, Wikipedia lists an all-Airbus A321-200 fleet of six aircraft, with 195 to 220 seats depending on configuration. The fleet may change before the merger.
