Philippine Airlines (PAL) is now operating its flagship Airbus A350-1000 daily between Manila (MNL) and San Francisco (SFO) ahead of the year-end travel peak, according to AeroTime. The schedule for both directions changes by an hour from 1 November 2026.

Daily flagship service

AeroTime reports that Philippine Airlines says the daily deployment gives West Coast travellers access to its newest long-haul product every day of the week. It also adds premium seating as the busiest season approaches, when many Filipino-Americans fly home for the holidays. San Francisco is described as one of PAL's most important North American gateways, with onward connections through Manila to destinations across the Philippines and the wider Asia-Pacific region.

What the A350-1000 offers

The A350-1000 is the newest and largest aircraft in the PAL fleet, according to AeroTime. It seats 382 passengers:

  • 42 in Business Class suites, arranged 1-2-1
  • 24 in Premium Economy
  • 316 in Economy

All cabins have 4K inflight entertainment screens, inflight Wi-Fi, in-seat power and both USB-A and USB-C charging ports. PAL also says the aircraft brings better fuel efficiency, more operational flexibility and greater cargo capacity, supporting the growth of its long-haul network.

Schedule change from 1 November

The flights operate as PR104 (Manila to San Francisco) and PR105 (San Francisco to Manila). Until 31 October 2026, PR104 departs Manila at 23:15 and arrives in San Francisco at 20:45, local times. PR105 leaves San Francisco at 23:40 and lands in Manila at 05:35.

From 1 November 2026, PR104 still departs Manila at 23:15 but arrives in San Francisco an hour earlier, at 19:45. PR105 departs San Francisco an hour earlier, at 22:40, and still arrives in Manila at 05:35. AeroTime says the changes are likely linked to the end of Daylight Saving Time in the US on 1 November 2026; PAL's own explanation is not given in the report.

What this means for travellers

  • Passengers can expect the A350-1000 and its Business Class suites and Premium Economy cabin on PR104 and PR105 every day, according to PAL.
  • Those booked on or after 1 November should check their times: San Francisco arrival and departure are each an hour earlier, while Manila departure and arrival times are unchanged.
  • Connections through Manila to other Philippine and Asia-Pacific destinations remain part of the offer, though the report does not give onward schedules or fares.

The report does not say how long the daily A350-1000 deployment will last.
