Overview

Citilink is an Indonesian low-cost airline headquartered in Jakarta. According to Wikipedia, Garuda Indonesia launched it as a low-cost brand on 16 July 2001. Since 30 July 2012 it has operated as a separate subsidiary with its own codes, callsign (SUPERGREEN) and branding. It does not belong to a global alliance. Its frequent-flyer programme is LinkMiles.

Network and hubs

Its main bases are Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta and Surabaya Juanda. Wikipedia also lists operating bases at Jakarta Halim Perdanakusuma, Denpasar, Batam, Makassar and Medan. The network is mainly domestic. International routes listed include Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok Don Mueang and Dili, plus seasonal Jeddah flights and some charters. Several former routes, such as Perth and Penang, are marked as terminated.

Fleet

Fleet figures differ by source and date. The Jakarta Post reported in July 2026 that the fleet had grown to 43 aircraft in the first half of the year. Wikipedia, as of August 2025, listed 59 aircraft:

  • 39 Airbus A320-200
  • 10 Airbus A320neo (25 more on order)
  • 8 ATR 72-600
  • 1 Boeing 737-500 freighter

The figures are not directly comparable, because they may count in-service and total aircraft differently.

On board

Citilink offers one economy class. Its A320s have a standard 180-seat layout. Under the 'Green Zone' programme, the first five rows and the exit rows are sold as 'green seats' for an extra fee, which includes free snacks, drinks and insurance. Seat selection on regular seats is also charged. In January 2019 Citilink introduced free in-flight Wi-Fi on an A320 flight from Jakarta to Denpasar. Whether it is available now is not confirmed.

Good to know

  • Baggage: According to Citilink, domestic fares include a 7 kg cabin bag. The free checked allowance is 20 kg on A320s and 10 kg on ATR aircraft. International routes generally include 10 kg checked, with 20 kg on flights to Dili. Excess cabin baggage is charged as checked baggage at IDR 250,000 per piece. Check the fees page for current rates.
  • Ownership: Garuda Indonesia is the parent company. Press reports mention a possible integration with Pelita Air, but no completed merger was found.
  • Not found: Lounge access, change fees and on-time statistics were not available from the sources reviewed. Check them with the airline before booking.
