The airport at a glance

• Mohammed V International Airport (CMN) is Morocco's busiest airport, in Nouaceur about 30 km south-east of central Casablanca. It is operated by the national airports authority, ONDA (now branded Airports of Morocco).
• Traffic: 10,449,372 passengers in 2024. In December 2025 the airport passed 11 million passengers in a year for the first time, about 31% of Morocco's air traffic, helped by the Africa Cup of Nations.
• It is the hub of Royal Air Maroc, its regional arm Royal Air Maroc Express, and Air Arabia Maroc. Other carriers include Air France, Iberia, Lufthansa, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines, Saudia and Air Canada.
• The airport has two terminals and two parallel 3,720 m runways. A railway station sits under Terminal 1, which makes it one of the few African airports with a direct train to the city.

Terminals: T1 and T2

• Terminal 1 is for Royal Air Maroc and its partner airlines. Terminal 2 handles all other airlines. Check the terminal on your ticket before you travel, and use the information screens in either terminal to find your check-in area and gate.
• Use the free shuttle or the connecting corridor to move between terminals; allow extra time on a connection, as the two buildings are separate.

Getting into Casablanca

• Train (ONCF): the station is in the basement of Terminal 1, reached directly from the concourse. Trains run without change to Casa-Voyageurs (about 30 minutes), Casa-Port, L'Oasis, Facultés, Ennassim and Bouskoura. Departures from the airport run roughly 06:50 to 22:50, and the airport lists a fare of 70 MAD to Casa-Voyageurs.
• Aérobus shuttle (ONDA with Alsa Al Baida): launched 1 December 2025, it runs between Casa Port station and Terminal 2, with a stop at Terminal 1 and stops in several city districts. It runs 24 hours a day, every 30 minutes at peak times and every 40 minutes at night. The fare is 50 MAD per trip.
• Taxi: the taxi station is on the arrivals esplanade and is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Taxis are identified by their roof signs and numbers; no fares are published, so agree the price or ask for the meter before setting off.
• By road, the airport is reached from Casablanca on the A3 motorway and from Rabat on the A1 motorway.

Arriving in Morocco

• Many nationalities can visit Morocco for tourism without a visa for up to 90 days, but the rule depends on your passport. Check your nationality on the official Accès Maroc portal (acces-maroc.ma) or with a Moroccan embassy before you fly.
• Travellers who need a visa and meet the conditions can apply for an electronic visa (eVisa) on acces-maroc.ma, which has run since 10 July 2022. The Moroccan foreign ministry gives a processing time of 24 to 72 hours, so apply well before departure.
• The foreign ministry's eVisa conditions cover holders of a valid ordinary passport who also hold a residence permit from the EU, USA, Canada, UK, Japan, Norway, Switzerland, New Zealand, Israel or Australia (valid at least 180 days), or a multiple-entry non-electronic visa from the USA, Australia, Canada, UK, Ireland, New Zealand or a Schengen visa (valid at least 90 days). The eVisa is valid for 30 days with multiple entries.

Lounges

• Terminal 1 (airside): Royal Air Maroc's Le Zénith lounge is for Royal Air Maroc and oneworld first, business and elite-status passengers. The Casablanca Aspire Lounge in Terminal 1 takes Priority Pass members and is open 04:00 to 22:00.
• Terminal 2 (airside): Le Zénith II is for eligible Royal Air Maroc and oneworld passengers. The Aspire Executive Lounge in Terminal 2 takes Priority Pass members and is open 24 hours.
• Passengers without airline or card access can look for walk-in or day-pass entry to the Aspire lounges; check the price and availability with the operator before travelling.

Practical information

• SIM cards: Maroc Telecom, Orange and inwi all have sales counters in the arrivals hall. You must show your passport to register a SIM under Moroccan rules.
• Money: a currency exchange counter and ATMs are in the arrivals area. Compare the exchange rate with your bank's before changing large sums.

What's coming

• New terminal: ONDA is building an H-shaped terminal of about 600,000 m² with a central processing building and two jetties. It is to start at 20 million passengers a year, expandable to 30 million. The construction tender was issued in November 2025, with a 40-month execution period and an opening targeted for 2029.
• The Airports 2030 programme also includes a new 3,700 m parallel runway, a 42 m control tower and a high-speed rail (Al Boraq) station at the airport. The new terminal is estimated at about US$1.6 billion (around MAD 15 billion), and the airport's capacity is meant to reach 35 million passengers a year by 2030.
