Delta Air Lines has unveiled what it calls a new era of Delta One, its long-haul business class, with new menus, wines, tableware and amenity kits. According to Head for Points, the changes launch first on long-haul flights from Los Angeles in November, with a wider roll-out in early 2027.

New menus and drinks

Head for Points reports that the food offer will include new signature dishes such as a Delta One Wagyu beef burger. Delta has partnered with British chef Simon Hultstone, who the site says has held a Michelin star at his restaurant The Elephant in Torquay for over 20 years.

Example dishes listed by Delta include roasted sea bass, braised lamb, beef short rib and a seasonally rotating risotto. The dessert trolley stays, with a classic sundae and a champagne sorbet float as a dairy-free option.

The wine programme has been developed with Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson. Taittinger champagne remains available on Delta One flights, now including domestic services, alongside a new range of Napa wines. Wines from France, Spain and New Zealand will also be offered. Delta is also expanding its spirits and cocktail list, adding Blanton's single-barrel bourbon, Dassai 45 sake on Japan flights and a cocktail and mocktail menu.

Tableware and amenities

Head for Points says this is the first refresh of Delta One tableware since the product launched in 2017. Delta is using its own branding rather than a partner such as Alessi, which it used in 2017. A new “Sip & Settle” service presents a welcome drink, hot towel and nuts on a brass charger plate after take-off.

The Missoni amenity partnership continues with a new bag, containing Grown Alchemist skincare, a Marvis dental kit and Missoni-branded comfort items. A Missoni mini pillow will be available on long-haul flights. Slippers and the mattress pad continue.

Context: new aircraft and rival upgrades

The service changes will precede a new, doored Delta One Suite on future A350-1000 deliveries starting next year, according to Head for Points. These feature a second-generation suite and a herringbone layout instead of a staggered one. For now they will appear only on new A350 deliveries, with existing Delta One seats staying on other aircraft.

The site notes the move follows other premium overhauls: Singapore Airlines is introducing new menus, dining wear, sleepwear and bedding in November, and British Airways has overhauled its First Class service. Readers can compare the two carriers on our British Airways vs Singapore Airlines page, or see our pages for British Airways and Singapore Airlines.

What this means for travellers

  • The new service starts on long-haul flights from Los Angeles in November, so passengers on other routes should expect the changes only from early 2027.
  • The new doored suite will not be on every aircraft; it is limited to new A350-1000 deliveries, so seat type will vary by flight.
  • Champagne is now served on domestic Delta One flights too.

The sources do not say which Los Angeles routes will get the service first, or whether fares will change.
