Visit Qatar offers UK travellers two free nights in Doha

Visit Qatar has launched a stopover promotion that gives UK travellers two complimentary nights at participating four-star hotels in Doha. According to Travel Daily Media, the offer was announced at World Travel Market (WTM) London 2026 and applies to new bookings made between 16 November 2026 and 16 February 2027.

How the offer works

The campaign is called Stopover Your Way (Enjoy Two Nights on Us). It is a partnership between Visit Qatar, Qatar Airways and Discover Qatar. Travel Daily Media reports that it is intended to encourage passengers to turn a flight connection into a chance to experience Qatar's culture, beaches and food.

Key dates reported:

  • Booking window: 16 November 2026 to 16 February 2027, for new bookings only.
  • Stopover window: stopovers must take place between 19 November 2026 and 30 September 2027.

Travellers can upgrade to five-star accommodation or extend their stay, in both cases for an additional charge. The report says terms and eligibility conditions apply.

Promotion at WTM London

Visit Qatar is exhibiting at WTM London alongside 40 partners at the Qatar Pavilion. Travel Daily Media says this is the organisation's 12th consecutive year at the event, as part of efforts to promote Qatar as a year-round destination. The promotion also highlights museums, desert experiences and local hospitality.

What this means for travellers

For UK travellers heading to Asia or other destinations via Doha, the offer could turn a connection into a short break with two hotel nights covered. Practical points based on the report:

  • The offer is for new bookings, so existing reservations are not covered.
  • Bookings must be made within the window, and the stopover itself must fall within the later travel dates.
  • The free nights are at participating four-star hotels; five-star stays or longer visits cost extra.
  • The promotion can be accessed through Qatar Airways and participating travel trade channels.

The source does not say which routes, fares or cabins qualify, which hotels take part, or what the extra charges are. Travellers should check the full terms with Qatar Airways or their travel agent before booking.
