Overview

Oman Air is the flag carrier of Oman. According to Wikipedia, it began operations in March 1993, is owned by the Oman Investment Authority and is based at Muscat International Airport in Seeb. It joined the oneworld alliance on 30 June 2025. Its frequent flyer programme is Sindbad.

Network and hubs

Muscat is the only hub. As of August 2026, Wikipedia lists 43 destinations in 25 countries across the Middle East, Asia, Europe and Africa, with India the largest market at six destinations. Non-stop Muscat–Singapore flights resumed on 2 July 2026, four times a week on a Boeing 737 MAX. The Wego guide lists 2026 additions including Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Baghdad and a Salalah–Moscow link, and European destinations such as London, Frankfurt, Munich, Milan and Paris.

Fleet

Wikipedia gives a fleet of 33 aircraft. The Wego guide (updated June 2026) puts this at roughly 10 Boeing 787-9s, 19 Boeing 737 MAX 8/9s and about 4 Airbus A330s, with a target of around 39 aircraft by 2029. Wikipedia's fleet table (November 2025) shows an all-Boeing fleet, so the A330 figure should be checked against the airline's own fleet page.
